How to get to Vila Pedra Mar

Vila Pedra Mar can be reached directly by boat from Angra dos Reis on the mainland. The scheduled boat to Praia Vermelha and the Villa leaves Angra at 14:00pm Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays and the trip takes about 90 minutes and costs R$25 per person. The boat leaves from the Cais de Turismo next to the Posto dos Pescadores (BR Filling Station)and drops you off at the Villa's own jetty. Please confirm with us to establish the name of the boat being used that day. Do not use any other boat or try to get to Praia Vermelha and the Villa from any other dock. There is only one scheduled boat that will bring you to Praia Vermelha and the Villa.

The scheduled boat back to Angra leaves the Villa at 07:15am. Alternatively we can arrange a private transfer from Angra to the Villa and back to the mainland at a time of your convenience.

Should you be coming directly from the airport or an hotel in Rio de Janeiro we can arrange a private transfer for you where you are met at the arrivals gate or at your hotel and taken directly to the boat. The cost currently is R$330.

To get to Angra dos Reis from Rio de Janeiro you can also use the luxury bus run by the Costa Verde bus company from the Rio bus station (Rodoviaria Novo Rio). The trip takes roughly three hours and the current charge is R$38 per person. To arrive in Angra in time for the 14:00pm scheduled boat you need to catch the 10:00am bus. Use a taxi from the Angra bus station (Rodoviaria) to the Cais de Turismo. On the timetable linked below 'Ida' means leaving Rio,' Volta' means returning from Angra.
